SUMMARY:Green Ink: Writing Sustainability into Construction Specifications
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER NOW  \nThis program is presented in partnership with the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) – Greater St. Louis Chapter! \nAs we all know\, sustainability for the built environment is more than just materials and administrative procedures. Sustainability involves the spatial design of a structure\, its location and orientation on a site\, and the owner’s operation of the building after occupation. However\, those characteristics are rarely conveyed from one party to another through detailed contract requirements. This is where specifications play a role in establishing the material and installation requirements\, as well as the administrative procedures to ensure those requirements are being met during construction. This session does not focus on specific sustainable requirements\, but how those requirements are commonly provided in the contract documents through the specifications. \nPresenterRon Geren\, Principal/Owner at RLGA Technical Services\, LLC \nFollowing the presentation\, Ron will be joined by Olivia Paxson of KPFF and Chris Wilson of Mackey Mitchell Architects for a panel discussion moderated by David Charles of Built Solutions. \nWHERE: HOK701 Market St Suite 400 | St. Louis\, MO 63101 \nWHEN: Tuesday\, May 19 – 5:30 – 7:30 pm \nADMISSIONFree \nQUESTIONS? Contact Missouri Gateway Green Building Council staff at info@mogreenbuildings.org or 314-577-0854. \nREGISTER NOW  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Thanks to our Evening Program Sponsor!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Speakers\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ronald Geren\, Principal\, RLGA Technical Services\nRonald Geren is a nationally recognized thought leader in specifications\, building codes\, and professional practice\, with over 40 years of experience across the design and construction industry.
