Sustainable AI Practice in the Built Environment: Sufficient, Efficient, and Scalable Impact

AI is increasingly applied across the project lifecycle. However, adoption often emphasizes near-term performance gains while overlooking the full lifecycle impacts and implementation requirements of AI-enabled solutions. This session introduces a Sustainable AI practice lens for the built environment—grounded in efficiency, sufficiency, and scalable impact—to help teams make informed choices about when AI is warranted, how to understand and mitigate energy and carbon implications, and what conditions must be in place for successful implementation. A structured evaluation approach will be presented to support prioritizing use cases based on expected value and readiness, followed by a facilitated discussion of common barriers and practical next steps.

Live attendance at this session is eligible for 1 GBCI CE Hour – General.
