First Friday Webinar – Strategies for Reuse in LEED v5
USGBC’s First Friday Webinar series is back for 2026! This series kicks off in February with a recently published course from the USGBC course catalog: Strategies for Reuse in LEED v5. During the session, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with peers, discuss the latest in green building, and learn more about what’s happening at USGBC. Gather with peers and colleagues at noon Central Time on first Friday of each month to earn those CEs!
Please note that registration is open for February only at this time. The remainder of the 2026 series will be announced later in the year. Stay tuned!
These courses are available for anyone to attend, but are FREE to local or company USGBC members. That includes Missouri Gateway Green Building Council members!

The LEED v5 rating system introduces new prerequisites and credits that reduce the environmental impacts of building demolition, material procurement, and constructions. This course includes an overview of changes to Materials and Resources credits from LEED v4 to LEED v5, with a focus on BD+C projects. The speakers walk through credit strategies step-by-step and use project case studies to illustrate the opportunities for reuse. Finally, speakers explore the social equity implications of reuse and discuss how LEED aims to drive market transformation in the materials space.
