Join us for our summer member social, hosted by Washington University's Office of Sustainability and your Engagement & Outreach Committee.  We are excited to visit the East End of Washington University Danforth Campus IN PERSON, which was featured in our October 2021 Virtual LEED Tour. We will be hosted by the Office of Sustainability in the Schnuck Pavilion, a LEED v3 Platinum building, part of the East End transformation, which includes a large underground parking garage, five new buildings, and an addition to the Kemper Art Museum. The other LEED buildings on the East End campus are Jubel Hall (LEED v3 Platinum) Weil Hall (LEED v3 Platinum), Sumers Welcome Center (LEED v3 Platinum), and McKelvey Hall (LEED v4 Gold). Missouri Gateway Green Building Council is accepting Educational Program Proposals for presenting innovative solutions to addressing our communities’ most urgent challenges. Submit before August 8 to get your proposal considered for our 2024 calendar! SUBMIT HERE To maximize collaboration with green building professionals and communities, and ensure our exchange of information benefits from the diversity, talent and expertise of our Missouri Gateway region*, preference will be given to educational content of a 200 - 300 level addressing: What needs to change with the way we build (or don't build) today? Missouri Gateway Green Building Council is currently seeking nominations for At-Large seats on our Board of Directors. All terms begin in 2024. Nominations are due by 5 pm Central Time on Friday, August 18, 2023.Self nominations are accepted and encouraged. Nominees must be a member in good standing with Missouri Gateway Green Building Council must currently serve or have previously served on a committee or as a volunteer with the organization. Review or fill out the Online Nomination Form!  For more information, please see: Nomination Guidelines Nomination Form (On-line Form) Board of Director Job Descriptions   In 2015, MGGBC shifted our board nomination and election process, and no longer hold general elections. Nominations are accepted from the membership. The Governance Committee collects nominations and ensures eligibility of nominees. The committee then consults a matrix of leadership needs to determine a slate to present to the board for approval. The committee expects to present a slate to the board for discussion at the September 2023 board meeting.

  • Launching the 2023 T-Shirt Design Contest!

      We are excited to engage our community in helping us design fab new swag to reflect our new brand! We kicked off 2023 with our new name, website and logo - the culmination of an amazing collective effort by the MGGBC team and our volunteer members! We are excited to carry this creative momentum into 2024 with a contest to design fab new swag that celebrates our new brand and embodies the spirit of our new tagline "Connecting people, places, and planet." The contest is open to everyone. Participants can submit up to 3 designs. Strut Your Creative Stuff! Grab some green, blue and gray markers (or mouse, if you prefer digital doodling) and unleash that amazing creativity for a good cause!  The winning design will be selected by our Engagement & Outreach Committee and announced at our State of the Council event on January 29th. We will spend time doing the work, then reflect on the policy change needed to prevent this environmental justice concern. Please dress appropriately and bring a water bottle.
