    Green Schools Quest Informational Session – September 9th

    Interested in learning more about the Green Schools Quest? Join one of our virtual Informational Sessions! All three sessions will review the 2024-2025 Green Schools Quest program for both schools and Mentors, and will provide time for you to ask your questions before you sign up for the Quest. Invite your friends and colleagues, and join us on the Quest! All sessions are free, but you must register. Choose your date below and register at that link.     Evening Program: A Path to Performance at Scale

    The Evolution of LEED: Local Stakeholders & Project Showcase

    Join us for a discussion on the Evolution of LEED in partnership with USGBC. As LEED v5 progresses into its second public comment period, USGBC staff, local experts and volunteers will outline the next version of the rating system and discuss ways to engage.

    Register Your School for the 2024-2025 Green Schools Quest!

    Registration is now open for the annual Green Schools Quest: A Project-Based Challenge! This program, which is a part of the Show-Me Green Schools suite, invites PreK-12 schools in Missouri and Southern Illinois to devise and implement creative, effective and no/low-cost sustainability practices at their school with the help of a Green Mentor. Each participating school forms a team of students (can be a club, class, grade level, or entire school) which is organized by one adult member of a school’s community (teacher, administrator, staff, or parent) who serves as their team’s facilitator. The school is then paired with a Green Mentor from the community who helps with project ideas and resources. Teams engage in their chosen sustainability project from October through March and submit their outcomes for a chance to win cash prizes. Registration deadline is September 15th for schools.     USGBC will once again offer First Friday Webinars in 2024. These are previously recorded, highly rated, LEED specific education programs. Gather with peers and colleagues at noon Central Time on first Friday of each month to earn those CEs! These courses are available for anyone to attend, but are free to local or company USGBC members. That includes Missouri Gateway Green Building Council members! Access the webinar registration and code here. You will be prompted to login to access the code. Once you enter your login details, it will take you to your Member Dashboard. From there, click Member Only Benefits from the left-hand side menu to view the list of benefits and access code for the First Friday Webinars.
