    USGBC will once again offer First Friday Webinars in 2024. These are previously recorded, highly rated, LEED specific education programs. Gather with peers and colleagues at noon Central Time on first Friday of each month to earn those CEs! These courses are available for anyone to attend, but are free to local or company USGBC members. That includes Missouri Gateway Green Building Council members! We'll still gather online over midday on the First Friday of each month for leading-edge education, but in 2025, we'll alternate live education sessions with highly rated, previously recorded sessions from past USGBC programming. Gather with peers and colleagues at noon Central Time on first Friday of each month to earn those CEs! We will hear from Council leadership, visit with committees, and you’ll have the chance to participate in our State of the Council raffle – more details coming soon! This event is FREE with refreshments provided, but please register! WHERE: Five Oaks on Warson Community Center 1200 North Warson Rd | Olivette, MO 63132 WHEN: Wednesday, January 29, 2025, 5:00 - 7:00 PM Remarks at 6 pm | Raffle Drawings at 6:50, must be present to win This year's State of the Council venue showcases what it looks like when a community center embraces a community-driven, holistic approach to going green. Sustainability features include access to daylight and views to the outdoors, recycled finishes, native plants and habitat restoration, stormwater management, night sky and bird friendly exterior lighting and more. One special feature is a large hickory tree that had to be removed from the site, which was wood kiln-dried and repurposed as the lobby’s fireplace mantle.
